There’s absolutely tons of ancient TV continuity on YouTube, though unfortunately a goot 93% of it is just the old BBC2 ‘==2==’ logo fading to black just before a feature film comes on. In this one, though, you not only get the opening and closing titles with a smidgeon of cliffhanger from Derren Brown-favoured skateboard-heavy Child Detective Agency summer holidays mainstay The Red Hand Gang, and the ‘Tony Hart On Location’ opening titles of Hart Beat (and hands up who’d forgotten about his phwoarsome art postgrad sidekicks for that series?), but also a suitably scarlet-hued continuity slide for the aforementioned adventures of Li’l Bill and company, and a schedule rundown featuring a rare glimpse of that long-forgotten Broom Cupboard-prefiguring occupant of the role that Phillip Schofield would make famous, ‘Computer Graphics’.
