Yes, it’s The Red And The Blue, the semi-legendary award-winning Italian animation that the BBC used to whack on whenever there was an unexpected gap between programmes. For those who’ve never seen it, The Red And The Blue basically involves two blobs of plasticine – one red, and one, well, blue; one turns into a wasp, one turns into a telephone, and they chase each other around. Watch eight of them in a row and pretend a cricket match has just been rained off in 1991!
